The history of the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte

The Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte is located south-east of Paris, France. It symbolises the creation of three artists who were brought together by Nicolas Fouquet, Louis XIV’s superintendent of finances. Indeed, the union of André Le Nôtre, gardener and landscape designer, Louis Le Vau, architect and Charles Le Brun, painter-decorator revealed the incredible potential of the castle. Thus, this truly majestic and balanced model became a source of inspiration for the construction of the Château de Versailles and qualified as one of the most beautiful châteaux in France.

A luxurious and modern wedding

It was in Paris, the capital of love and fashion, that the newlyweds decided to say yes! The choice of the Vaux-le-Vicomte castle was in perfect correlation with the modernity and the fine art style of this luxurious wedding. Indeed, they realised their dream of getting married in a beautiful castle with enchanting decorations. In addition, the bride charmed all her guests by wearing a wedding dress by the famous American designer, Oscar de la Renta.

Through its splendid French gardens, its large and magnificent rooms and its refined and sumptuous decorations, the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte made this wedding contemporary, magical and special!

A fine and contemporary floral design

Capucine Atelier Floral wanted to create for this prestigious wedding, a décor with a spring spirit and a fine art style. The aim was to highlight the romanticism and the spring season through this union. In order to enhance the universe of this intimate wedding, the fine art florists imagined floral compositions with a fine and contemporary design, mixing cherry blossoms and spring flowers. Moreover, the colours chosen for each floral arrangement refer to the colours of the Vaux-le-Vicomte castle. Indeed, we mainly find a soft mix of blue and white representing the purity and royalty of the wedding and of this place.
